Obituary of Ruth Leakey

Leakey: Viola Ruth Peacefully at home with her devoted husband Thomas of 64 years by her side, on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at the age of 85. Predeceased by parents Barney and Viola and 1 son Barney. Loving mother of Margaret (Elliott), Mary, and Gordon (Ginny). Grandmother of Jeff (Cathie), Richard, Julie (James), Ross (Samantha), Adam (Melanie) and Nicole (Aaron). Fondly remembered by 7 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Edith Ridsdale, Haldora Elliott, brothers Leo and Walter (Dorothy) Gunnlaugson. Sister in law of Joan Gunnlaugson. Predeceased by 2 brothers Ray and Alfred Gunnlaugson. Also survived by brother in law Russell (Grace) Leakey, Stuart Leakey, and Oliver Hill, sister in law Bernice Leakey. Predeceased by Wilford, Edna, Ernie, Edith, Jack, Walter, Irene, Ralph, Hazel, Pearl and Beth.. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in our chapel on Friday December 6 at 1:00 pm. Interment Willowbank Cemetery.
