I think I first met Karen in either kindergarten or grade one. We were best friends all through school and we spent many days laying on the dock or swimming in her pond or she was at my house. You will truly be missed. Rest in peace.

To Mrs. Chisamore, fondly called Mrs. C, Dale and Connie, my heart goes out to you today. Karen was a bright light and she will be missed. I took a chance many years ago, climbing up the hill to meet this girl I would see waiting for school, and coming home from school. I won't regret making that climb as Karen Chisamore became one of my greatest childhood friends. I made a path to your door and into your homes many times. We Huck Finned our way around the woods and swam in the pond as many a memory was made and forged in my mind. I was with your family and my friend Karen, the day word came that my sister passed at the tender age of 16, and so it is we navigate grief in our lives and with our friends. Karen was a dear sweet friend. Our childhood voices shared stories and dreams and at that time we thought we would last forever... time has a way of teaching us, that time does not stand still and every moment is precious. You are in my prayers and in my thoughts as you gather in strength to make sense of this loss that came all too soon. Love Michelle
