Obituary of Phyllis Norris

Norris: Phyllis (Andress) (Forbes) 1918-2013 Passed away peacefully at Carveth Care Centre on October 15th, 2013. Survived by her husband Frank, also by children Roger Andress (Henny), Ted Andress (Linda), Bud Andress (Bev) and Judy Dowsley (Bob). Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren. Phyllis was born in Brooklyn N.Y. and came to Gananoque with her mom when she was 6 years old. She was predeceased by her dad Charles Forbes, her mom Madeline Sampson and step father Jack Sampson. Phyllis taught dancing in Gananoque for 48 years. Her other passions were gardening and curling. As a request of the family there will be no visitation. There will be a celebration of her life at the Gananoque Curling Club on November 3rd from 2-4. Cremation and burial to take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. A special thanks from the family to Liz Stevenson for all her help during the last few years. Also a thank you to the caring staff at the Carveth Care Centre. Donations in remembrance of Phyllis to the M.S. Society would be appreciated by the family.
