Obituary of Jean McLean

McLean: Alice Jean Surrounded by her family, Jean went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 25, 2013 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John Ross McLean. Left to cherish Jean's memory are her children, Brenda Cartwright (Brett) and Brian McLean. Cherished Grandmother of Craig Cartwright (Jessica), Dean Cartwright, Mitch Cartwright, Amanda McLean (Tom Reid) and Trevor McLean. Dear great grandmother to MacKenzie Reid. Special sister to Phyllis Vanhorne (Sam deceased), Irene Curtis (Don deceased), Grace Leakey (Russell), and Clifford Clarke (Bessie). Predeceased by her parents Percy and Lillie Clarke and her brother Ralph Clarke and sister in law Joyce. Fondly remembered by sister in law Helen McLean as well as many nieces & nephews. During the last few years of Jean's life she was the shining example that God gives enough grace for whatever we face. A memorial service will be held in Grace United Church, Gananoque on Thursday October 3 at 11:00am. Jean's ashes will be placed beside Ross at Willowbank cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Grace United Church or to St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital (Palliative Care) in Jean's memory would be appreciated by the family.
