Obituary of Hazel Brodie

Brodie : Hazel Peacefully at Carveth Care Centre, Gananoque on Saturday August 10, 2013 in her 101st year with her daughter by her side. Born October 18, 1912 and raised in Chatham, ON. She moved to Gananoque in 1953 with her husband and daughter and lived the rest of her life in the area. She is survived by daughter Diane Lamont (Ron), Granddaughter Lori Litchfield (Mark), 5 step-Grandchildren , 9 great step-Grandchildren and 1 great great step- Grandson, sister Marg Cochrane (Doug), and sister in-law Helen Weaver. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. She will be sadly missed by everyone. Predeceased by parents Frank and Edith Weaver, husband Herm Brodie, siblings Mabel Masterson (Herb), Lyle Weaver (Doris), Gord Weaver (Jenny) and Alva Weaver, and also numerous brother and sister- in- laws. Cremation has taken place and according to their wishes a memorial service for both Hazel and Herm will be held at the Lansdowne united Church on Saturday August 24th at 2pm. Interment in Chatham at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the St. Lawrence District medical Centre or to the Gananoque Humane Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family
