Judy & family, Reading through the thoughts passed on to you at this time further our shock that such a pleasant gentleman has been taken from our midst. Although our interactions with Greg were very infrequent, as already mentioned by others, he always left a warm impression. The last time we ran across Greg he was working at Home Depot. He was happy to express how he enjoyed being there and I expect those working with him would agree that he was a fine fellow indeed. I expect that for some time to come as we pass your home we will still be looking for that cheerful wave.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Greg's passing. His visits to my office at the Playhouse were always a treat and although we both eventually moved on to other endeavours, the friendship that started over a box of paper remained and I always greatly enjoyed our chats about the joys of motorcycles, vintage cars and family. May you find strength and peace in each other, and comfort in your memories of a life very well lived.

My oldest memory of Greg was him lifting me upside down when I was a kid so I could walk on the ceiling. Every time we were together we would talk about it. Greg was always a lot of fun. His humor could be scary though. This is a guy who thought it was funny to rap and dance in the middle of a gas station in Atlanta, yikes! I enjoyed all the time I ever spent with Greg. Many remember him as a fun loving guy who could always be counted on for a laugh and to lighten the mood. While this is true, I also remember a man who always encouraged me and spoke about the importance of education. I will miss Greg very much and consider myself very privileged to have known him and have him as an uncle.

I met Greg when he worked at Bob Hepworth's Esso Gas station
in Baconsfield. Most of the staff were High school or college kids.
I don't think poor Bob had any idea of the antics that
went on at that Gas Station when he wasn't around.
Many of the Gas Station gang remained friends for years.
Greg was one of the funniest people I have ever known.
His inappropriate jokes at serious occasions were legendary.
Greg loved motorcycles and owned a very fast Kawaskaki 500.
He was a perfectionist kept it in immaculate condition
He also restored a van (Which was popular to do in those days)
and finished the interior with plush velour.
He called it the Sin Bin.
Gananoque was the central meeting spot
for all our friends that lived in Montreal or Toronto and
Along with our good friend from Gananoque we shared a decade
of incredible weekends of Snowmobiling, swimming, waterskiing,
Friday Night pickup hockey at the Gan Rec centre, and of course
sharing a toast or two, or three, at the Blink, the Inn, and Alex Bay.
We never thought those days would end.
Those were some of the best days of our lives, and I know
Greg felt that way to.

So sorry to hear about Greg's passing. We were good friends a long time ago; he and Joel were great, fun rivals to my brother John and I in baseball and football back in the early 70s. I remember those days fondly and I had always hoped to meet up again. Best wishes to his family and to all those who will miss him.

I don't remember when I first met Greg. It might have been at the Dopp's cottage or a night out at the Blink. I do remember my first impression was how funny and gregarious he was. He had such an infectious laugh. Greg could make you laugh even when he was re-telling a serious story. In the early years we (a group of friends) spent most of our time in Gan. We spent nearly every weekend at the Blink and continued the party playing cards either at the cottage or Doug would invite Greg and the guys over to camp out at my parent's for the night.
While part of our group (of friends) would remain in Gananoque, some of us relocated to Toronto. The Toronto group would work hard at our jobs and responsibilities during the week and travel back to Gan. to party all weekend. I remember catching a ride to Gan. with Greg one Friday night and we talked a lot about our relationships. It was clear to me that Greg was in love. He talked about Judy the entire trip. It was not surprising when Greg decided to make Gananoque his home. There, he would spend the rest of his life with the woman he loved.
Many years have passed since those carefree days and we've lost touch with our busy lives and families, but the memories we shared for all those precious years will never be forgotten.
It is with much sadness and tears to say goodbye my friend...

Such a pleasant personality, and a pleasure to know and play hockey with, despite all the times I would yell "SCREEN" at him as he blocked my view of the puck! Greg as a boy of fourteen was an above average hockey player. He was fast and graceful on his skates and a good stick handler.....Greg was also a good musician ,he played both guitar and was a mean drummer. Greg had a comedic flare with telling a story or entertaining. The problem was getting him going, but with a group and relaxed he was a star ...
Greg was a perfectionist. When he did a job .wether it was carpentry ,painting or keeping his cars or bikes shiny ,it had to be perfect....He kept himself in good physical shape at all times, which makes it harder to understand why he had to go so young......Again condolence to Judy and all the family. Vanillie and I worked together for a few really good years at Home Depot. We look similar and people always got us confused. I used to say we were identical twins separated at birth but it was a hard labour for mom because I am 5 years older. As we got older, Vanillie walked to work but I took a lunch. Judy and family; Dianne and I will sorely miss Greg and we both wish all of you the best. Sincerely, Millie-Bob. xoxo
