Obituary of Jacob Vanderscheer

Vanderscheer: Jacob (Jake) Peacefully at the Carveth Care Centre on Wednesday June 12, 2013 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Marlene Vanderscheer (Eyre). Loving father of Derek (Janice), Patti (Howard Blake) and Sheryl Fletcher (Dwayne). Cherished grandfather of Devin, Cody and Taylor. Dear brother of Henry (Ann), Bill (Phyllis) and Dirk (Brenda). Predeceased by 1 brother Ralph, by 1 sister Lammy Vogel (Bert) and his parents Dirk and Gerritje Vanderscheer. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Christ Anglican Church on Friday June 14 at 11:00 am. Interment Gananoque Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Carveth Care Centre Activation Department, or to Christ Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. A combination Rebekah / Oddfellow Service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45.
