Obituary of Donald Hardy

Hardy: Donald Merrill On June 4, 2013, Donald Merrill Hardy of Gananoque, Ont. died at the age of 71 after a long fight with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He will be deeply missed by his wife Marilyn of 47 years, his son Mathew and his wife Melissa, 2 grandchildren Isabella and Michael, and by his sister Helen Rosevear and her husband Larry of London, Ont. Don was born and raised in Manotick, Ont. and loved boating in the 1000 Islands Gananoque area to eventually settle there. He loved his RV Park home in Clermont, Florida and his last wonderful toy, his Ford Mustang convertible, that he had the pleasure of giving to his son before he died. We are grateful for the compassionate care Don received from the staff at the KGH Intensive Care Unit. Thank you so much. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Don's Life will be held in our chapel on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the hardy family plot in Ottawa, Ontario. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
