Obituary of Jane Marie Cybulskie

Jane Cybulskie “Bluebird”

After a long road of persevering through health challenges, our beloved Bluebird has taken flight and is flying high without pain. On Friday, July 7th, Jane Marie Klis Cybulskie left this world suddenly at Brockville General Hospital with her daughter by her side. 

She will be sadly missed by her cherished daughter Cherianne Cybulskie (Matt), Mother Shirley Klis (Paul - deceased), siblings David Klis, Robert Klis, and Nancy Kurdziel, nieces and nephews Erin, Dale, Julia, Anna, and Adreena.

Jane was born on August 16, 1961 and throughout her life she overcame many obstacles. After three and a half long years regaining her health at St. Vincent de Paul, Jane went on to live her life to the fullest, always facing her daily health hurdles with a smiling face. She was able to continue raising her daughter, attend bucket list concerts, and continue having numerous Thelma and Louis (and Liz) adventures. 

Jane “Bluebird” will be remembered as the humble heart of the Blue Rodeo Crazies, for her love of Freddie Mercury and passion for music. Her beautiful soul will be held close to the heart of everyone who had the privilege to know and love Jane. Her unwavering strength, indomitable spirit, and relentless determination to conquer any obstacle she faced will forever be remembered as an inspiration and a resounding call to never give up in the face of adversity.

A celebration of life will be happening on Saturday, July 22nd from 10-2 at Tompkins Funeral Home in Gananoque, Ontario. We invite guests to wear their favourite band tee or dress in blue in honour of our Bluebird!
