So many memories...
Family get togethers at our house, at their house or at the cottage ~ always love & laughter ~ good food and memories made.
We were so blessed to spend so much time together with our cousins... and not our cousins (Welch family).
Aunt Joan & her sister Elaine(my mom) made sure to keep our families connected and for that we were blessed.
Whether it was spending weekends at the cousins in Gananaque... going to hockey games during the winter carnival, street dances at the grocery store parking lot, summer activities at the cottage, Christmas dinners and school plays or band concerts of the cousins we were a close bunch of kids ~ thanks to Aunt Joan & Mom!
2 sisters that loved one another, unconditionally are reunited...

So sorry to hear of your Mom's' passing.
I worked under her direction at the old and new ARC Industries at Bell Tower Mall and the New Building across from the medical centre. During this time she enriched the lives of so many clients and assisted families in their efforts to raise their adult family members.
We kept up for a few years but of late we lost touch.
She so deserved a long retirement.
It sounded from the obituary that Joan enjoyed herself with all the committes she served on. Congratulations Joan ,a fine citizen in numerous communities.
Enjoy your well deserved rest in peace.

I met Joan when I became a member of Grace United Church Women. I quickly grew to see her as a treasured friend. Always welcoming, always with a smile, a lovely caring person. So many lovely UCW gatherings at her beloved cottage. Joan, I treasured your friendship and I will deeply miss you.
This picture was taken at the church when we made Christmas cards for shut ins.
