Well Uncle D, here we are once again writing and sharing memories to someone so dear to our hearts. If there is one lesson in life that you have taught me, it was live life to its fullest and if you make a mistake, try harder the next time. There are so many things that I never got the chance to say, but I know now that even though you are not here , you will always hear my "lovely loud voice" talking to you. So until we meet again Uncle D, I miss you and love you very much... love Melissa and Ryan. Xoxo

Dear Daryl, I really don't know what to say. I know you are at peace and pain free. I can picture one large kitchen party going on up there! Dad playing the violin, Stephen on the banjo, you strumming the guitar and mom dancing around the table with the rest of the family and friends we've lost over the years. I have your favourite cooler cup and every time I have a cold one I'll be cheering to you bro! Knowing you're with mom, dad and Stephen puts my mind at ease and this will help me get through the tough times when I'm missing you. I know we'll all be together again one day and as Wayne Huff told me, you will all welcome me with open arms. RIP Daryl, Until we meet again, Your baby sister, Crystal ( kid )

Dear uncle Daryl! I'm lost with you and dads passing that's happened way too sudden. I miss our Sunday race days just sitting around with all of us enjoying some cold ones and just being us! I know you and dad are looking down on me and wondering and waiting for the day that we can be together again and having great laughs like we've done for years! I love both of you with all my heart and never did get the chance to say it to you. You've helped me in so many ways I can't thank you enough! I miss you uncle Daryl but your in heaven along side of nanny, poppa and my father! You don't have to be scared anymore..the ones that love you the most...are standing right beside you! Until we meet again in our next life? Keep the beer in the fridge... Crank up the NASCAR on tv... And tell dad Denny Hamlin sucks! Miss you both dearly! Your nephew... Brandon

Feel no guilt in laughter, he'd know how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share. You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to. He'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do. So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared, The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared. Let memories surround you, a word someone may say Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day, That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here, And fills you with the feeling that he is always near. For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart And he will live forever locked safely within your heart. Unknown Dear Uncle D, please look after your big brother, our dad a way up there in the bright blue forever. Please give him an extra long embrace for us, his children. Now you are both together with Nanny and Poppy, awaiting the rest of us down here. We will be sad for awhile, but anxiously await our next meeting. What a time we shall have! Ride that Harley, Uncle D! XO Your niece, Tiffany

Dear Crystal, Kim,and Daryl's daughter Victoria, step son' s Son in-law, sister-in-law, grandkids nieces and nephews and all other who loved Dear Sweet Daryl! As an old friend and neighbor, We all had busy lives and move away. I. have many old memories of Wellington st and Aurther st. Ally. We were all living across from the Jones. Steve his wife and son Brandon. Then a single and Handsome young Daryl and his little sister Crystal. On my side of the ally Wayne Cassel, his wife and then Little Wayne who back then walked my two daughters Lynn & Kim Bracken to MacDonalds school. Randy Smith was with his wife Judy. Ron Clark & his wife Val, Allan Hancock lived with my sister Penny Watson. In the big yellow 4 plex. On the Wellington st. Side of the same ally. We were there about 5 yrs. We all had fun in the back ally. Our sunny summer days would bring everyone to the ally. That is when we all became friends. Steven and Daryl, Randy even Billy Jones but of different Jones family. My memories come and go, but I have never forgotten the early 80's with such great neighbours, my kids had good kids to play with and the Jones' Family just made it that much more friendly and fun. RIP Daryl my ole friend. You and Steve will always be remembered.
