I met you only once at a gymnasium with your daughter Majella. I know you through your daughter who is such a good friend I get to call her sister. Thank you for giving me a kind, beautiful, thoughtful, generous and very smart friend/sister. I am looking at your picture and I find a striking resemblance. I see where her beautiful personality comes from.

Oh Bluebell, you didn't tell me you were running away. I didn't hear the race organiser say "Hey Ho off you go", even though I was on the starting blocks, but I will catch you up as and when the time is right. I love you more dearly than the spoken word can tell, "A love so beautiful" a love for you and me. The life we shared together, the memories of our childhood we hold so dear, even though we were mischievous little imps, we got away with it 99% of the time!! I'm sure the Lord God will forgive us when we meet again, hand in hand over the "Lickey Hills". All my love from your other half and bright eyed twinlet Chezie. xx

My dear Auntie Margie,
I'll miss your kindness and your love, I'll miss your happy smiles and I promise that every single day I'll remember you for a while. We shared something truly special, something that can never be replaced, a bond that the years can never fade and memories that time cannot ever erase. To lose you brings such sadness, but know that you live on in my heart, and in my memory shines the guiding light you shone. So sleep softly now angel in your eternal rest, to call you my Auntie Margie I was truly blessed. Your Robear xx

Dear Nanny,
I miss you. I've missed you for a while now though. But you left me with so many great memories. I remember going to Motel de Champlain, you were taking us to lunch. You had asked Sebastian what he wanted and he replied "French Fries" .. you being the proper Nanny that you were said "Pardon" as to prompt a "Please" with his simple order. He, assuming you just hadn't heard, repeated, "French Fries" and again you said, "Pardon?"
This time he loudly shouted "French Fries".. Well didn't the rest of us think that was hilarious!!
I remember you taking us to get ice cream, the swirly ones dipped in chocolate, from the little shop across from the school. I remember your candy dish inthe living room of the old farm where you and Grandad used to live..I was always so excited to go see what was in there and click the gold frog.
There was the time we went cruising (with your Scotch (cruising) mints) down our Concession and across to the continued part of it that is gravel and unpaved. We asked you to go faster and faster..we giggled our little heads off and I remember you smiling, laughing and enjoying making us laugh.
I'm excited for the ground to thaw. I want so badly to go and plant Hollyhocks and Petunias along the fence here at the house. I'm always reminded of visiting you at your old farm in Peterborough when I smell them.. but these arent the only things that remind me of you...Chips Ahoy cookies..and Bugles..Tetley Tea..Pears soap..and of course goats.
Nanny Goat, you were a lovely lady and if anyone ever went up into Heaven , where they would be waiting with open arms it would be you. I know Cherry and Jan will miss you terribly as will the rest of us, but I'm happy for you to go see all the people you have been missing. I hope you have a nice cup of tea with your Mum <3
I know goodbyes are not forever, and that I probably have it easier than some as the last time I saw you you were probably around 73, full of life and energy, and so I get to keep that version of you in my memory. You were sitting across the table from me.. you had made a lovely chocolate cake with walnuts or pecans on top and you were drinking a Manhattan. As always.. when we were saying our goodbyes you waved and waved and waved...and waved..and probably continued to wave for a solid 30 seconds after you could no longer see our vehicle. These are the memories I will cherish and hold onto and laugh about on the sad days. "Terrah" for now Nanny.
Love, Hugs and Kisses,
Elizabeth
