Obituary of Rita Elder

Elder: Rita Ann

( May 21, 1938-March 11, 2023)

Suddenly at home  on Saturday March 11, 2023.   Predeceased by her parents Jack and Edith (nee Leakey)  Rita is survived by her children Linda (Ken MacAdoo) and Dale.  Grandmother of Ashley (Adam McCully) and  great nana of Kolton who both were the apple of Rita’s eye.  Also survived by her  brother Tom (Cheryl).  Dear Auntie of Doug (Kimmie), Kim Hamilton (Willie) and their families.  The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden St. Gananoque on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral service will be held in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Gananoque on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at 1 O’clock.  Interment Gananoque cemetery. A reception will be held in the church hall following the interment.  As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Gananoque Humane Society or to St. Andrew’s memorial fund would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences please go to www.tompkinsfuneralhome.ca
