I met Jim when I first came to Canada, having contacted him from Scotland when looking for a Glasgow Rangers supporter's club to connect with in Canada in 2007. From his first email response, he was warm, welcoming and friendly.
I then got to know him through the Markham Club he was so proud to run and sat with him and others on many early Saturday and Sunday mornings. He was always positive, engaged and interested in others. and a real follower of his Team.
Unfortunately, I lost touch with him after a spell in the Middle East and with his move to be near his family. However, I'll always appreciate his friendliness and help towards another incomer. Sad to hear this news, but by all accounts, a life very well-lived.
