Obituary of Dalla Brown

Please share a memory of Dalla to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brown, Dalla June Evelyn (nee Quainton) September 8, 1933 - March 14, 2013 Dalla's life was finally undone by a 4-year fight with Cancer and she passed peacefully, well attended by her husband, her family and the staff at Fox Run Retirement Residence. Dalla's career as a teacher began in a one-room schoolhouse on Vancouver Island and extended to adult education in several South Ontario venues. She travelled extensively in North America and abroad. She most enjoyed the dance of learning and had a special appreciation for natural creativity. She expressed her own creative gifts in the kitchen, in a variety of arts and crafts and in the use of language. She will be sorely missed by her husband Jeremy, her son Jim and his wife Ann, her son Stephen and his spouse Heather, her daughter Wendy and her husband Dave, and their daughter, Dalla's only grandchild, Andrea, as well as her sister Stephanie and the many friends who loved her deeply. She was both puzzled and honored by hearing from more than one admirer, "You are my hero". Dalla's family invites you to join with them for a memorial celebration of her life at The Legion in Gananoque beginning at 3:00 on Friday March 22. Please make a donation to a deserving charity in lieu of flowers. Go with grace Dalla, knowing you were loved.
