Obituary of Phyllis Shirley

Shirley: Phyllis Winnifred (nee Ayling)

Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at the age of 87. Predeceased by both of her husbands, William “Billy” Davidson and Kenneth Shirley, by her parents Nora and George Ayling, by her brother Ken Ayling, and by her sister Shirley Kirkwood. Much loved mother of Jane Bellringer and her husband David. Cherished grandmother of Jesse Bellringer (Debbie Windell) and Amy Mabie (Peter). Great grandmother of Benjamin Bellringer and Emma Mabie. Dear sister of Tom Ayling (Linda) of Napanee. She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ev Ayling and by several nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held at the Cataraqui cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations made to the Gananoque and District Humane Society in Phyllis’ name would be appreciated by the family. The family is very grateful to Heather and all the staff at Fox Run for their wonderful kindness and care. Special thanks to Dr. Sharma and Nicole Gibson from The Brockville Palliative Care Program and Siobban and Christine from Bayshore Home Health for making mom's final days as comfortable as possible.
