John Denman Stroud was born in Reading, England, and died peacefully at home in Gananoque, Ontario, on Sunday, January 27, 2008, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Martha (Misener), daughters Clare of Washington, DC, and Julia of Toronto, and sister Alison Hampson of England. A private family service will be held.
