I was just watching Day TV, and heard Joni speaking to Jason Crabb.
So I checked on the net.
I am writting from the island of St Martin in the Caribbean.
Years ago Phil came here and woed us with his trumpet. We never forgot him. My husband is a musician also. May he find eternal rest with his maker. LILIANE

Dear Norma and family,
We were sad to hear about Phil's passing. Ron, growing up on the island has some great memories of Phil, Johnny and Joe. Phil always had a smile, kind word and would do anything for you. I got to know Phil and Johnny when i met Ron. Adventurous as they were, they always had a smile, kind heart and a story to tell. Ron will always remember the good times. Please know we are thinking of you at this time.

To the Driscoll family: Please accept our condolences on the loss of Phil. My husband John used to stop in periodically to see Phil --"to shoot the breeze as they used to say". John enjoyed their chats... Perhaps that is what they are doing now. Phil was such a likeable guy. He will be missed on the Island. Again, we are so sorry for your loss. Take care. Pam Beaubiah, Richard, Sarah, Adam and families.

So sad to learn that Phillip has passed on suddenly. I grew up on the island with Phil and his brothers Joe and Johnny. I remember his mum Helen and dad James always being at the family home and remember on an early work day picking up Helen in our small boat to get her to work in gananoque..the ferry was broken down..imagine that..brings memories we carry forever.
Phil always ..just like his brother Johnny had a very different, happy outlook on life.both very intelligent guys with humour and a smile. Phil was one of the island characters we all loved to be around..I think of jimmy McReynolds , russel Duffy, Gary good friend, patty Norris and the howe island huskies hockey team..I played on that team..and when we didn’t have a goal tender…Phil..with very little equipment to wear..volunteered…he was so tuff a goal tender…remarkable..
I will always carry Phil as I do Johnny’s and Joe’s memories with me…I miss growing up with the Driscoll boys….
Life does move on…as did the Driscoll bi centennial farm and plaque…irish immigrants…that settled on howe island…rio my friends..
Very very noticeable..that Phil was in the family island home when he died..I am sure his mum, dad were there to welcome him.
Norma..hope to see you on the island…and Angie too!
