It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Theresa Eileen MacIntyre, wife of Charles MacIntyre, on Wednesday, October 27^th, 2021, age 79 years. She was the fourth born to Austin and Mable (Harper) Smith. She was predeceased by Patricia (Heartsand), Austin, Denis, and Dorothy (Michael) Rudy. Theresa is survived by: Dave, Brian and Laura (Harper). Theresa was born in Toronto and moved to Cape Breton in 2015. In February 2018 she met Charlie, who was a volunteer at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, and four months later they were married on June 9^th at Sacred Heart church in Johnstown.In Theresa’s words “I was on a journey of faith with my lord who led me through storms and sunshine, what a beautiful life it was.”  No service will take place in Cape Breton. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place St. John’s church in Gananoque, Ontario, on Wednesday November 3 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow in St Barnaby’s Cemetery with her late husband Albert Johnson. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to the SPCA or to a charity of choice.
