Obituary of Kyran Pal

Please share a memory of Kyran to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pal: Kyran Kennedy It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of a son and brother Kyran Kennedy Pal at the age of 64. Kyran passed away peacefully at home on July 20th, 2021 with family by his side. He was predeceased by his father Joseph S. Pal. He will be greatly missed by his mother Brenda, brothers Joe (Lucie), Tim (Alison) and sister Jane (Dean) . Kyran will be lovingly remembered as “Special K” by his many nieces and nephews. He loved the 1000 Islands and enjoyed his early years as a long-time summer resident of Hay Island . He was happiest after moving permanently to Gananoque and back to the St Lawrence River over 10 years ago. His motto was “do what makes you happy” and “keep it simple”. Family and friends will miss his consistent and colourful weather reports, and as a loyal die-hard Raptors fan…his game time commentary. Kyran loved his music, especially the country greats Willie, Waylon, Merle, and Johnny as well as the classic rock’n’rollers. The family expresses their deepest appreciation for the compassion and caring support Kyran received over the past few months. We will be forever grateful to Pamela Hart whose loving and giving spirit always brightened Kyran’s day. Much appreciation also for the special health care workers whose kindness and compassion provided such comfort during a difficult illness including the St Elizabeth nurses, Krista, Petra, and Amber also Trisha and Kim from LHIN and Nicole Gibson and the palliative care team at Brockville General Hospital as well as the KGH oncology team. A special thank you to Dr Andrew Jordan for his guidance and advice and for always being available. A private family service and burial will be held this summer. The family requests that in lieu of flowers any donations be made in Kyran’s name to the War Amps or the Salvation Army, charities he held dearly.
