She was married for 34 years to her loving husband Joe Watkins, and Mother to Kendra (Edward), Kevin, and Alex (Sarah). Angie and Joe revelled in being very special grandparents to Claire, James, and Isla, for whom “Grangie” was adored and will be forever remembered. Angie is also survived by her mother, Marguerite Tingren, brother Scott (Janice), and sister Cheryl, She was predeceased by her father Carl, and her late brother Peter. Angie’s working life featured accomplishment, hard work, and especially, compassion for others. She was attracted to opportunities where she could apply her determination, warmth, energy, and caring nature to helping others in diverse fields such as social housing, community and personal support programs, and in the higher educational field. Always seeking to contribute more, her personal determination led to a B.A. (2003) and M.A. (2015) from Queen’s University and to other higher educational certifications, all while continuing to work full time. For 15 years she enjoyed teaching at St. Lawrence College. Angie loved living in Gananoque. She walked countless miles throughout town with friends and will always be remembered for her welcoming smile and a wave of “hello”. Angie passionately supported small businesses and amplified community spirit.
