My sincere condolences go to all of Sharon's family and friends. I knew Sharon from some joyful times spent with her when I volunteered at Fairmount Home. Her magnetic smile, enthusiasm for dancing and music and her bright smiling eyes brought memorable moments to be cherished. That she was a truly beautiful person and soul was immediately evident upon meeting her.
I hope fond and loving memories sustain you through this very difficult time.

Dear Merna and family,
I am so saddened about the passing of my dear childhood friend. I hope that Sharon's vivacious spirit and smile will sustain you as years go by. God bless your family and hang on to those wonderful memories.
I must tell you about some of my wonderful memories of when Sharon and I were best buds growing up together.
At our cottage, Sharon and I loved frogs! We caught 2 large bull frogs and brought them home with us. We made little beaded leashes for them and tried to hop them around the subdivision! Poor frogs, but we did return them to the cottage the next weekend and let them go.
Our next experience with frogs at the cottage was quite laughable, but NOT for my Mother! We had caught a bucket full of frogs and wanted to keep them overnight. We put them out in the screened in patio for safety. When morning came, all we heard was my Mother's scream. We leaped out of bed to find that every frog had jumped the bucket and were hopping everywhere!
Sharon and I had stuffed monkeys when we were young. They were our favorite toy. At the cottage, we would row the small aluminum boat over to a very small Island that we named "Monkey Island". Over we would go with our monkeys and our lunch to play on Monkey Island for the afternoon. We both still have our monkeys to this day.
Blessings to all the family,
Hugs, Carol Ann Brown

Dear Aunt Merna, Brian & Julie,
Distance and young growing families kept Sharon and I from seeing much of each other as children. But when people talk about how they learned to do something I am always taken back to the weekend at your house when Sharon taught me to ride her two wheeler. Everyone came out to watch me ride by the house and to congratulate both the student and the teacher on our accomplishments.
Dan and I are deeply sorry for your loss and offer our sincere condolences. I am making a donation to our church in memory of Sharon to our music fund to help support our guest performers. Music is a fitting remembrance for Sharon.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you on Saturday and I will be in touch later in the week.
With sympathy and love,
Wanda & Dan Gibbons

Merna, Brian and family…
Thanks, Brian, for the call. I knew Sharon had passed as soon as I saw your name come up on my phone. I’m so sorry. What can I say. I always loved going to Gananoque to visit Sharon and Brian. She was bright, enthusiastic, quick to smile and laugh, and always willing to include us in her activities. A joy to be around.
Well, the first picture posted by Leslie says it all. She was up front and ahead of the pack. Leading the way. We all loved her. And, is Leslie just as skinny today as she was in that little white skirt and halter top? :) I think so!
Hugs and best wishes from afar.
Mike

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Sharon at Brian's office and I'm so grateful that I did. Sharon was kind, honest, funny and sweet. Not sweet like annoying, sweet like you wanted to be a better person just by being in her presence. I loved it when she came to help at the office, we had great conversations. Like our mutual love of yoga and reading. Although I never had the pleasure of taking one of Sharon's yoga classes we often talked about the practice and even demonstrated some of our favorite postures while Brian was seeing patients. (Please don't tell him) We also shared a love of reading often recommending the next great read to one another.
Not sure who wrote this but it seems fitting
"You can't skip chapters, that's not how life works. You have to read every line, meet every character. You won't enjoy all of it. Hell, some chapters will make you cry for weeks. You will read things you don't want to read, you will have moments when you don't want the pages to end. But you have to keep going. Stories keep the world revolving. Live yours, don't miss out. "
I wish we could skip Sharon's passing, but that's not how life works.
Merna I loved that you and Sharon had wonderful adventures together. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Brian, please find peace with the fact that you were the best brother ever.
Love to you all.

Dear Merna and Brian, Sharon's smile is contagious and will be missed terribly. To loose a daughter or a sister is beyond heartbreaking and our prayers are with you as you celebrate her life and say goodbye. We loved her dearly and have wonderful memories of our holidays and visits since we were children. We sailed together, rode our bikes together, walked to the candy store together and swam in the river together. The 6 of us kids were always have fun adventures around the Islands. We will miss being with you to say goodbye, but we will raise a glass of wine in her honor on Sat. Much love and hugs to you and all the family, Sincerely, Laura, Mike and Shelley
