Obituary of David Nourry

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, David William Nourry. At age 68, on June 10, 2021, David passed away at Providence Care Hospital from Alzheimer's Disease. David will be greatly missed by his children Bryan Nourry (Jennifer Nourry) and Shannon Johnston, as well as by his grandchildren Sloane Nourry, Lincoln Nourry, Alyssa Johnston and Fayth Johnston and his ex-wife and dear friend, Faye Nourry. He is predeceased by his loving parents Raymond and Theresa Nourry. David was the oldest of nine children and will be missed by his brothers and sisters, Nancy, Carol, Raymond, Jim, Tom, Peter, Paul, and John and their families. David will be remembered by many as the Battersea Stone Mason as he truly loved his art and trade of masonry, as well as his home in Battersea. David found beauty in stone and building with it. He leaves behind many stone houses, churches, fireplaces, chimneys and works of art. Many of us also remember him as Crazy Dave who loved to tell stories, would do anything for a laugh, wore his hair long like a hippy, smiled with a sideways smirk and a twinkle in his eye, loved to dance and twirl his partners around and around. He was always a character and a strong, hardworking man. We will miss you so much dad!! We would like to thank the nurses and staff at Extendicare Kingston and Providence Care Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. In memory of David please consider donating to the Alzheimer's Society of Kingston. A celebration of life will be held, later in the summer.
