He and Gezina were such sweet next door neighbours growing up. He made a few wooden plaques for me whenever my picture got in the Gan Reporter and I have happy memories playing Rumi with them in their kitchen... There was one day when I was rescuing a baby crow that was drowning in our pool with the long net and the adult crows were circling above distraught and dive bombing and pooping on Herman and and I. He came over with a ladder and climbed up to put the baby back into its nest after I saved it. Heart of gold he had. Loved Herman and Gezina.

My condolences to the Schur family on the death of Herman. He was blessed to live a full life. When I was ordained he gave me a beautiful wooden cross which he had carved, which I have and cherish. I have offered Mass for the repose of his soul. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.
God Bless!

Dear entire Schur Family,
Chris and I extend our most sincere condolences in the passing of Herm. We've known many of you for years and years and had great years with Sinie working at our family brokerage. Currrently, at least pre-Covid, I see Mary when the "gang-of-elders" goes cycling, twice a week.
And many years of customer contacts at our Insurance and Real Estate brokerage.
I can even recall the barn dances hosted on Kyes Road away back in the 60's.
Many fond memories indeed.
Sincerely,
Al & Chris Bickerton
