Obituary of Jack Kenney

KENNEY, Jack Jack passed away peacefully at Carveth Care Centre in Gananoque, Ontario on Thursday February 4, 2021, in his 90th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Alma Kenney (Kenny). Much loved father of Dale (Lorraine), Don (Robin), Laurie Gordanier (Paul), Lynn Hall (Murray) and Chris (Susan). Cherished grandfather of Aaron (Kelly), Matt (Mary), Rhiannon, Brandon, Clay (Nicole), Blake (Danielle), Max (Tiffany), Luke (Ashley), Nicole (Sean), Tyler (Ashley), Jessica (Eric), Kelly (Graeme), Kathryn (Mike), Chris (Andrea), Shona (Larissa) and Jessica. Great grandfather of Madison, Lillian, Amber, Lola, Dax, Jack, Claire, Mya, Evelyn, Oaklyn and Sonny. Dear brother of Marion McLaughlan (Bernard). Predeceased by 1 brother Ronald. Brother in law of Roy Kenny (Doris). Predeceased by 4 brother in laws Osborne Kenny (Flora), Gerald Kenny (Gwendolyn), Lorne Kenny (Olive), Clifford Kenny (June), and by 3 sister in laws Grace Clark (John), Keitha Mills (Clarence) and Velma Cooke (Norman). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Brett Gibson – administrator, Phyllis Lorbetskie – Lodge Manager and to the exceptional loving staff at Carveth Lodge. You treated Dad like family and you did everything you possibly could to give him joy in living, and grace and dignity in his passing. Thank you all for your kindness, especially during the challenging times of COVID 19. A special thank you to Dr. Christine Miller whose dedication to Dad’s care was a true gift to him. We will never forget it. We also want to thank Dr. Brian Hart and all the staff at Stones Mill Family Heath Centre who were instrumental in both Dad and Mom’s care over the years. Thank you for your dedication, your expertise and your compassion. They were blessed. Cremation has been entrusted to Tompkins Funeral Home. A private Family Graveside gathering will be held at the Gananoque Cemetery at a later date.
