Gerry was a long time member of the British Railway Modellers of North America (BRMNA). He was also a member of the Ottawa British, a group of BRMNA members that exhibit a transportable British outline model railway (Marmadale Wharf) at various venues in Ontario and Quebec, Gerry was an enthusiastic modeller, with a “Z” scale layout built and operated in a guitar case, which he also exhibited as an individual; a beautifully modelled British “N” scale layout in his home; and a “G” scale garden railway to his credit. He enjoyed operating his “OO” scale model of the A4 “Silver Link” locomotive when he went “on tour” with the Ottawa British. In latter years, due to his health, he was unable to participate on the exhibition scene. He was a jovial fellow, fun to be with and will be sorely missed. On behalf of the membership of BRMNA I offer my condolences to his family and friends.
Derek Uttley, President, BRMNA.

What a wonderful photo of Gerry. This is how I remember him: full of spirit and curiosity. He loved fiercely and I was fortunate to be included in the circle of his love for many years. I sensed his genuine care for others. Time, distance and life circumstances mostly kept us apart, but each moment of reconnection over many years has been cherished. Rest easy, Gerry. You will be missed on this earth. Much love to Mike, Jenn and all the family.
