To John & James:
I am so, so sorry for your loss. I have a long, fond memory or your mum (and your dad and grandfather). My favourite memory is of Eleanor and Fred always being among the first to be up and dancing wherever there was music and a dance floor. Eleanor said that was one of the first things that attracted her to Fred - how well he danced. Your family gave a lot to Pittsburgh, for which they will always be remembered.

Goodbye To A Dear Friend Eleanor
We are deeply saddened - our link of 4 friends has been broken. For over 60 years, the four of us; Eleanor, Lauretta (Burchat) Rice, Patsy (Kirkham) Thompson and Bernadette (Norlock) Dudack have shared a deep friendship like no other. Boarding and rooming together at Ottawa Teachers' College 1958-59, made a special bond.
For 60 years we have shared birthdays, marriages, births, successes and sadness. With our families, visiting was very common. We will miss you Eleanor, we will miss our phone calls, our visits, but we know you will spend your first Christmas in heaven with your beloved Fred – what rejoicing!
We love you, Eleanor and know that you are happy as you rest in peace. Although our hearts are with you, due to Covid and our ages, we are unable to be attend for a final farewell.
May you rest in peace as we will forever treasure our memories of you and with you.
