Stewart: Kenneth Frederick Peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by family on Saturday October 31, 2020 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 51 years to Joan Stewart (nee Dillon). Predeceased by parents Dan and Dorothy. Much loved father of son Tony (CareyAnn) and daughter Allison. Cherished grandpa of Olivia, Cole and step-grandson J.P. Dear brother of Bonnie Walsh (Peter deceased), Gerry (Carol), Bill (Lynn) and Mary. Predeceased by siblings Jewel-Ann, Shirley, Joyce and Donnie in infancy. Also survived by many cousins and several nieces and nephews. Ken was a well known man in Gananoque and area. He served on the OPP for 23 years. Ken volunteered endlessly with The Gananoque Loan Cupboard, The Royal Canadian Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by many for his famous butter tarts. . The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Wednesday November 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. COVID-19 Restrictions in are in place with mandatory social distancing and facial coverings. A Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church. In Lieu of flowers donations made to the St. Johns Restoration Fund, Gananoque Legion Building Fund or to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
