Obituary of Leona Joyce Prior

PRIOR, Leona Joyce Evelyn (nee Morey) 1941-2020 After a long courageous battle with cancer, God called another angel home on October 15th, 2020. It would be wrong to say she lost her battle with cancer because she never stopped fighting. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit should inspire us all to take things head on and not for granted. Leona is predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Timothy Prior of Howe Island, parents, Norman & Sarah Morey (nee Hannah) and siblings, Maurice, Ruby, Norman, Marie, Betty, Thomas, Donna, John, Roger. She leaves behind siblings, Donald, Gerald, Richard, Julie, Garry, Anneta. She will be missed by her children, Colin, Rosemary (Scot) and Anthony, grandchildren, Christian, Cassandra, Katherine, Kyle and Hannah and Great Grandson, Colton (who also knew her as Honey). A private service was held at Tompkins Funeral Home, Gananoque. Burial to be held at St. Philomena's, Howe Island Spring 2021.
