I know Myrtle would have had her 102nd birthday this week and it is nearing a year since her passing. I am so thankful that I was able to attend her 100th birthday party. I think I only saw her once in her room after she moved to the nursing side at Carveth, but she was still able to carry on a great conversation. I loved asking her questions about when she and my dad were kids and neighbours. She loved telling about their adventures. Lots of out door, country living stories.
I'm sure she is much missed but I am thankful she did not suffer more of the lengthy periods of COVID isolation.
Thinking of those who loved and cared so deeply for Myrtle and brought joy to her days.
