The short time that I spent with Marilyn, when she came to visit Brianna in England, provides heartwarming memories of her generosity, humour and kindness. From the conversations and laughs on the drive to Canterbury in my barely functioning car to playing cards in the hotel lobby (and patience when I didn’t have a clue how to play the game). My deepest sympathies to you all.

“My condolences to all of the family. I have no doubt that Marilyn carried herself with tremendous grace throughout this journey. At this time when family would normally be surrounded by friends to offer support and share in your sorrow, we cannot physically be there. Offering prayers from a distance. Marilyn, from the first day I met you I knew you were special. We developed a real bond of love and your passing has left a deep well of sorrow. I will truly miss your beautiful smile and wonderful hugs. You were a true friend. To Pam, Ray and girls, to Cleat and family and to Art my profound sympathy..As Thomas Campbell once wrote” to live in hearts left behind is not to die” . Be assured , Marilyn lives in many hearts. May God comfort you all.

From the first moment that I met Marilyn and Walter I felt very welcomed into the family. From then on it was as if I had always been part of the family. Marilyn was always there for guidance and support no matter the situation. During the early days, before we had central air, what started out as a drive to cool off in the car would end up at their door, taking advantage of the cool stone home. Marilyn was always there welcoming us with a smile, and always kept our favorite dishes on hand. We have lost a light down here, but heaven is burning a lot brighter.

This is my Grandma holding me when I was a baby. She has always been there for us, and has always known exactly what to say. She had such a loving heart, and would always be there right away whenever you needed it. I loved her so much, and am so sorry that I did not have more time with her. But, God must be so incredibly happy to have an angel in heaven. I will forever remember our memories, and know her and Grandpa are cheering me on from heaven.
