So sorry to know John has died. I grew up on the island knowing and playing with John, Mel, Susan, and there was Jake and Hal around too. The mum and dad were always so nice..I often did sleep overs at their house..Charlie was the last farmer on the island to use work horses..no tractor!
Recently I noticed a photo of john that was taken at our farm when he was about 16..over the years John always kept our friendship alive when we met as if not a moment in time had gone by..
Our gang of island friends included boys who I m sure greeted john on Friday..joe and Johnny Driscoll, and the character who was larger then life Donny Foley and his brother Bobby..
John and I use to ride our bikes on the island wishing they were Plymouth sport fury’s..while our friend Tommy(Norris) would drive by us in his dads car..at 13 or 14 years old..island life!..John will live on in my life..I will always and do think about the beaubiah’s when I drive through what was their farm..and their Aunt Ag’s....
So very sorry to learn John has died too young..

Our condolences to Pam and John's family. Ron has many memories with John and having the opportunity to have him as his work partner for 10 years on the Ferry. They shared many stories together. May you all find peace knowing he is no longer suffering. He was a good man.
