Peacefully at the Carveth Care Centre on Saturday May 26, 2018 at the age of 76. Velda Jackson (nee Stennitt), beloved wife of the late George “Puddy” Jackson. Much loved mother of Joey (Debbie), Peter (Cindy), Chris (Felica) and Trina Garrah (Mark). Cherished grandmother of Sacha, Justin, Bronwyn, Rhianna, Aidan, Sophia, Jackson and Carter. Predeceased by brother Eddie Stennitt. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many extended family members. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Friday June 1 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in our chapel on Saturday June 2 at 11:00 am Interment St. John’s cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
