I am so saddened to hear of John's passing. He was my best friend as a child in Gananoque. I called him tonight and his number was out of service. John was a good neighbour to us for many years.
He helped me take hundreds of bags of leaves to the Community Garden as a soil amender, & shoveled our snow when I was in hospital.

Want to let the family know how kind and friendly John was, just like his dad. When I was in high school over 45 years ago, I was always staying after school to play sports and then go to a quiet room to do my homework. John and I would have many conversations, he would often bring me a tea or give me his able. In these last year's I would often stop when I walked by his house on William street to chat. He was also very kind to my Aunt Jean (McLaughlin) who lived on John Street just around the corner from her. If I go way back my family Lou and Mavis Jeffries with there 4 young children lived beside Jonh's family. John's quiet/gentle kindness will be missed in our world.

Our sincere condolences to your family. Your Father, Mother and John have been wonderful neighbors of ours since the day we moved into the neighbourhood back in 1974. We have enjoyed garden vegetables shared over the years and many good neighbourly visits and laughs over the fence.
