When our grandmother passed away, a friend of mine gave me a 'letter from heaven', entitled: Dear Family (Author: Summer Leigh). As a gesture of sympathy, I want to share it with you and your family.
From my family to yours, may God hold you in the palm of His hands, keeping you in His love and strength, during this very sad time.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say,
But first of all to let you know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from Heaven, where I dwell with God above,
Where there are no tears or sadness, there is just eternal Love.
Please do not be unhappy, just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you, every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you, when my life on Earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me, and said, ' I welcome you'.
'It's good to have you back again.
You were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here so badly as part of my big plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man'.
Then God gave me a list of things he wished for me to do.
And foremost on that list of mine, is to watch and care for you.
I will be beside you, every day of the week and year,
And when you're sad I'm standing there, to wipe away the tears.
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain.
Remember, there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you, of all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you would not understand.
And to my many friends…trust, God knows what is best.
I'm still not far away from you; I'm just beyond the crest.
And now I am contented that my life, it was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way, I made someone [laugh and] smile.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind.
And when you feel that gentle breeze or the wind upon your face,
That's me giving you a great big hug, or just a soft embrace.
And when it's time for you to go, from that body to be free,
Remember, you're not going; you are coming here to me.
And I will always love you [too], from that land way up above.
I'll be in touch soon, [DAD] sends his LOVE!
Amen.
Anita and The Rotondo Family xoxo.

A Tribute to My Brother, Walter Joseph Calamusa
Wally, you are my brother and always will be in my heart forever. I can't believe that you were taken from us so soon. Just like Dad, "Only the good die young." My heart breaks for you, for all that you wished for, for all that will never be for you here in this world. Your little sister loves you, always has and always will, but sadly I don't think I was ever able to say those words aloud to you; we just didn't say that kind of thing, it was unspoken. But what we may have lacked in loving words, we made up for in many other ways like many laughs shared over the years and so many great times. You always knew how to make us all laugh with your witty sense of humour and way-out-there comments. I always thought you would have been an awesome stand-up comedian.
You had a heart of absolute GOLD and would do anything for anybody, including giving someone the shirt off your back even if it was your last one. You would go without because you always wanted to help and you were always there for others.
I know you were lonely and I always wished for that special someone to be sent your way because you deserved so much happiness and love. Had you ever found that person and had children, you would've been the greatest father a child could ever have. Instead you became the WORLD'S GREATEST UNCLE, and I also think you took that love within you and poured it into caring for animals ~ your own, and those that you saw that were lacking the proper care, love and attention that they deserved. Your efforts never went unnoticed and those animals you helped now have a special guardian angel watching over them from up above.
If the roles were reversed and you were writing something about me, you would have made it light-hearted and funny, making everyone smile and feel a sense of calm, a sense of relief that is brought on through humour ~ I wish I had your GIFT. Although you did not want a service and would not want us to be sad, you need to know how much we LOVE YOU and ALWAYS WILL. The light you cast on all of our lives will never die, but will always be within each and every one of us until we see you again. I love you so much, Wally, we all do. We wish you peace and serenity now. Your work here in this world is done, but now you are an angel for us all. You deserved so much better than this life gave you, but I know you are in a better place now.
Love always,
Your Little Sis and Your Little Monkey, Cassidy xoxoxo

Our deepest condolences to you all. Our prayers are with you all during this time. Family and being close during this time is what will make the memories more memorable. No one can take this away from you all. Yes his life was short on this world but he has joined his dad and grandparents.
