Fredenburgh: Purvis Charles
The family of Purvis Charles Fredenburgh of Trenton is saddened to announce his passing on Oct 14, 2017 at the age of 90. Loving husband of the late June McLennan (1994) and Bette Mitford (2011). Father of James (Diane) of Brantford and Ann of Ottawa. Survived by grandchildren Jennifer and Kathryn. He was the only son of Ford and Edna Fredenburgh of Ivy Lea. He graduated from Commerce at the University of Toronto and then worked for the Federal government in Ottawa for 25 years before retiring in Kingston, Wellington, and then Trenton. Purvis was happiest when on the river, exploring the 1000 Islands on the many boats he owned over the years. He was a loving father and grandfather who made friends with everyone he met. Many thanks to the staff on Quinte 5 at Belleville General Hospital for compassionate care. A private family inurnment will be held at Union Cemetery in Lansdowne. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the SPCA or the charity of your choice are appreciated. In the care of the Tompkins Funeral Home & Cremation services.
