Westwood Family
Dear Greg & Jane, Heather & Terry and David
Due to the weather and other circumstances, I am truly sorry, I was not able to attend
your dad's funeral, and express my condolences to each of you personally.
We lived beside your family for many years. I can still remember Bill's smiling face and hear his laughter. It is always sad, when. we loose someone we love, and who has been so much a part of our lives---but our hope and consolation lies in the hope and surety of the resurrection and in knowing, we will see them again
May God be with you, may He comfort and sustain you, in the difficult days of adjustment the lie ahead.
Love and prayers
Joyce Sherwood (nee Weldon)

So sorry for you loss,I have a lot of fond memories of your Dad from when I was young. I can still see him smoking his pipe and the special aroma coming from it. Even after I moved away and Bill would see me in the grocery store or up street, He always made a point of saying hello and share a storey or two of when we were all just kids. I hope your memories of your Dad will help ease your pain .Your families are in my thoughts.

Mom asked me [daughter Anne] to send my condolences for Bill. They were good friends over the years and enjoyed many long chats about the 'past'. Marg said that knowing Bill added many happy memories to her Gananoque days.y

Meeting Bill on the street always meant a chat, and a laugh. It is because of Bill that my book "Harvards Above" was written. Having been stationed at the Gan Airport, he told John Nalon, President of the Gan Historical Soc., that someone should write a story about the airport so I took it on. Bill told stories and gave me photographs that I used in the book. I always hoped to see him one more time to say thank you but, sadly didn't, so I'll say it here: Thank you, Bill, for sharing your humorous memories of life on "the farm." Rest in peace now.
