On Tuesday July 11, 2017, Thomas Peter Popkes, 91, passed away at his home. Survived by his wife of 66 years Bernice Mary (McKenna) and his children, Sandra (Gary) Vincent, Rusty Popkes (Tammy Dack) and Sharon (Dave) Cole, and grandchildren Alex, Joshua, Brad and Mike. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 24, 1926, Thomas was a member of the Canadian Forces (Air Force) for 29 years (retired), and an active member of the Boot ‘n Bonnet Car Club Kingston. A Private family service was held at Tompkins Funeral Home, Gananoque. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Gananoque and District Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
