Peacefully at home on Thursday June 8, surrounded by her loving family, after a 2 year battle with ALS at the early age of 66. Doreen Disbury nee Dingley, beloved wife and best friend to Peter Disbury of 47 years. Loving mother of daughters Maxine Steinburg (Jim) and Jane Kirkpatrick (Chris). Cherished Grandma (G’MA) of Kaitlyn, Brent, Paige and Evan. Dear sister of Ken Dingley (Linda). Lovingly remembered by her nieces Kirsty, Simone, Nanette and families and Alfred Disbury and family. Predeceased by her father George Dingley, mother Doris and step father Alfred Marshall. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brian Hart, Dr. Wannie Hertz, RN Michelle Whitmore and the CCAC, for their excellent, attentive care and compassion given to Doreen. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Gananoque Curling Club on Saturday June 17th from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. As expressions of sympathy donations made to ALS Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
