Judy & I extend our deepest sympathy to Kevin’s family and friends. We have many fond memories of Kevin & Anne in the 70’s & 80’s as members of the Gananoque Kinsmen / Kinnette Clubs. Council of the Town of Gananoque would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family and friends. Kevin Murchie has made a tremendous contribution to the Town of Gananoque over many years. Some of his contributions to the Town included: 1) He was the lead on a team which developed and implemented subsidized housing for seniors and families in Gananoque; and served as chair of the board until more recently. 2) He served on numerous boards over a number of years. 3) He served on the Library Board when the new library was built. 4) He was Gananoque's Santa Claus for many years during the parade festivities. Thank you Kevin for all your service to the residents of the Town of Gananoque!

"He is a Kinsman," let it be
A mark of true nobility;
A badge that all are proud to wear,
An honoured name that none would dare
To taint with word or action less
Than honesty and goodliness.
"He is a Kinsman," let it stand
For those who love their native land;
For strong Canadians free and true
Who Vision mighty tasks to do
To weld and build the true North zone
By resident brain and strength alone.
"He is a Kinsman," let it mean
That he has sensed and he has seen
The depths of misery and pain
Around him, and his duty plain -
He'll strive some health and help to bring
The needy and those suffering.
"He is a Kinsman," let it lend
Conviction to the name of "friend"
Let heart reach out to heart to find
That mind has linked itself with mind;
Let comradeship so weld the tie
That Kinsmanship will never die.

While living in Gan. in the mid 1970's, we had the time of our lives. Kevin and the family of Kinsmen were a large part of that. We were privileged to call Kevin and Ann our friends. We have wonderful memories of some very happy, fun times and our sympathy goes out to Kevin's family on his passing. A special man, who will be missed. Di & Bill

To Kevins family... When I first moved to Gananoque in the spring of 1973 the welcome wagon attended my home and suggested I get involved in a service organization. They sent Kevin and Ann Murchie from the Kinsmen Club over to my residence. I more loving couple or nicer people you would ever want to meet. My days and that of my family were enriched beyond words by knowing these two loving and caring individuals. Rest in peace Kevin I'll always cherish all the laughs we had together. Colin

To Kevin`s family: I worked with Kevin for 34 years at Mitchell and Wilson Ltd. We shared many laughs, the best Christmas parties, Tim Horton doughnuts which Kevin loved, and a lovely friendship with Kevin and Ann. Ann and I met while we were taking the Special Commercial Class at GHS. We were a couple country girls and were friends from there on to her death. Now these two are together again as it should be. Blessings and my deepest sympathies to all.

"God saw you getting tired so He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." Thank you Uncle Kevin for all the wonderful memories. We'll miss you but are comforted in knowing you'll be Ann once again.
