Kathy you were an amazing woman who will be missed by many! You touched my life, my heart and I will never forget you. I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend your funeral but I was there in heart. You are now in a better place, a place you can look over us all and protect those that need it. As we look up to the stars at night, I'll know you're there shining as bright as you did here on earth! It's time to say goodbye for now, until we meet again. You're in my heart today and always! Tara

My heart goes out to Kathryn's family. I am sorry but can't make the service. I worked with Kathryn at the haunted house (actually most of the Byford's worked there that year) She was a great co-worker and friend. You will be missed.

I just want everyone to know the humor we share, our compassion we have gained by life experiences and the friends we have met through our years together. We know how to enjoy life and appreciate what we have accomplished. I will miss you, I love you, see you soon, not too soon - love always Rob PS: Stella and Dot called, I gave them the knew address, I'll pick up the tab

When my husband Al was confined to bed and the days were so long for him Kathryn would either come to see him or Facebook him until they learned how to Skype. After that they talked every day so that Kathryn could keep him informed with her witty stories about family and friends. Al looked forward to these long conversations every day with her. No one in the family could tell a story like KT. She had a loving, caring personality. I will miss her always and will thank her always in my prayers for making Al's last days so full of laughter. Love you forever.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kathy when she offered me a job 15 years ago at East side Mario's. The friendships that were formed during those years are unbreakable and lifelong. We spent many of times sitting around Rob and Kathy's house, whether it be for a BBQ, girls fondue night, or Christmas parties, Kathy and Rob always opened their home and were always up for a get together. When Kathy came to work at Costco years later our friendship continued, as we enjoyed many jewelry parties and girls nights. Kathy formed many wonderful relationships with so many people at Costco and her memory will live on for a lifetime through all of us. Over the past few weeks I have found myself to be at a loss of words (shocking to some I'm sure) not knowing what the right words were to say to make it better. I found a poem that I think says it best........... God saw you getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away. Although we loved you deeply, we could not make you stay. Your Golden Heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. May you all find peace and comfort knowing your beloved Kathy was adored by so many people. She was a beautiful, wonderful, unselfish person who will be missed everyday by everyone that knew her. xoxo

Words are always hard to find during a time like this. Kathy was her own person. She was always smiling, laughing and so full of life. She always stayed positive. I have always known her to be kind hearted, honest, trustworthy, compassionate and caring person. She would always help others before herself. But I guess she gets that from everyone in the family. Kathy, you will never be forgotten. You have touched everyone at Costco with your warmness and strength. We would like to Thank You for the strength you gave us. Thank you for being you and guiding us through your time. Now it is our time to be there for you and your families. We will miss more than anything else. We love you so much and no one will forget you at all. You touched us in many different ways. In ways that we can explain ourselves.

To all the Byford Family, my heartfelt condolence to you all. Our families were neighbours for a good many years and the children hung around together. Kathryn as well as her siblings were welcome in my home anytime. As they all got older, each went their own way and we moved from Gananoque. I often still met some of you on the street when I came to Gan and thought of you often. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of sorrow. Love Sandy Ferguson and Family.
