Nalon: Godfrey (WW 2 Veteran and member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4177) Peacefully at the Carveth Care Centre on Tuesday July 17, 2007. Godfrey Nalon, beloved husband of the late Joan Buckley. Loving father of Pat (Gail), Darlene Nalon-Landry (Roland), Joanne Beattie (Garry), Lynn Lindsay (Stephen) and Liz Mattice (Raymond). Predeceased by 1 daughter Susan. Cherished grandfather of Michelle, Jennifer, Shawn, Krista, Ryan, Lisa, Bob, Tammy, John, Dani, Shelley, David, Tom, Leigh, Travis and Kyle. Great grandfather of Cody, Wyatt, Halen, Kendra, Dawson, Owen, René, Neomie, Sarena, Kaiden and Kaylee. Dear brother of Martha Kellogg and Rita Siegner. Predeceased by 4 brothers Mike, Chummy, Peanie and Bill Nalon, and by 1 sister Mary Parker. Survived by sister in laws Mary Nalon and Marie Patrick and by 1 brother in law Jack Buckley. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and close family friends. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church on Friday July 20 at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal St. John's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The Legion Br #92 will hold a service in the funeral home Thursday evening at 6:45.
