Obituary of Donna Tompkins Hawley

Tompkins-Hawley: Donna (VanMeer) (Tompkins Funeral Home) Donna passed away with courage and strength, peacefully at her home with her family by her side after a 2 year fight on Sunday October 16, 2011. She is the beloved wife of Martin Hawley and the late Frank Tompkins. Loving and devoted mother of David (Shannon) and Paul (Angie); much loved step mother of David, Chris and Darren Hawley. She leaves behind 7 cherished grandchildren Davis, Mason, Jordan, Claire, Karson, Kaia and Ayda. She will be missed by her brother Duane (Sharon) of Nova Scotia. The family wishes to invite friends for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in Grace United Church on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment Gananoque Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Gananoque Humane Society or to the Gananoque Food Bank would be appreciated by her family. Special thanks to Dr. Sajed and the caring staff of Bayshore and Red Cross for their support and care during the last couple of weeks.
