You opened yours arms & welcomed me into the family from the very beginning. You treated me like one of your own. Even though we bunted heads here & there (as Keith says, we were too much alike) I have always admired your concern, commitment & love for family & friends, qualities I believe everyone should come with. I will always remember our little chats on the occasional shopping trip and for your helping hand with the kids. I do not understand why you left so soon or why you left before any of us were ready to say goodbye, but little by little, we will all begin to remember not just that you left us so suddenly, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. I will never forget the love that you shared.

I must admit that it was Sandy who put the pieces together for me. In my nine years of living in the Seeleys Bay area, I have come to know many, many different people. Yes, there are many of these people who have lived here alot longer than me and they already have an understanding of who is who and who's related. To a newcomer, this information is not so readily available. However, over the years of having my weekly chat with Sandy while she was waiting for one of her grandchildren to finish karate, she would share some of the local tidbits of her own family. This didn't happen all in one visit...it was an ongoing interaction. Every Friday, she would be there waiting patiently, maybe knitting (I think) and always ready to say "Hello". Now, I don't want any of the family members to worry....she never gave up any of the really good family gossip. What she did though was make connections. Through her I began to understand how the families of Seeleys Bay are connected. It was her kind smile and easy going disposition that I got to know Seeley's Bay a little better. I also got to know many of the members of her family who she spoke so fondly of. Thanks Sandy for spending that time with me!

An Angel We Lost September 30, 2012 was the most heartbreaking day of all, we never had a chance to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it. God said, "Sandra take my hand" and walk this way with me. We were not there to hear your last breath nor to even hold your hand, but God seen you getting tired so an Angel he did send. We know you're looking down on us, in fact, you're everywhere. So god if you're listening tell our mother up above, how much we will miss her and give her all our love. Sadly missed, never forgotten & forever in our hearts you will be.

I always remember growing up in Newboro during my teenage years. You did an amazing job taking care of me when we had so little to work with. I remember having new years parties with a small group of my friends. We always looked for a place just to hang out and be ourselves. You were always the first to offer our place. You just loved to be surrounded with company. I was so proud to have a mother that never stopped caring and giving. I will never forget that Mom and I will always try and give some of that back. I hope you know that you were loved so much. You will always be there.

Sandy Ferguson what a great lady. I hired her when she came to work at the Perth Police and I knew we had a lady of compassion and one who had the ability to give back what she could. I was in absolute shock to hear of her passing and can't quite get my mind around it. It's ironic that it was her heart that gave out because she had a heart so big and generous and such capacity to love. How she loved her family. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived for her family. She also crowded friends into that loving heart and I am glad I was one of them. I felt priviledged to know her. She was a friend that left footprints on my heart and now she is gone. May God keep her safe and warm in his bosom and safe journey Sandy. God has gained a star but the light has faded just a little more down here. Rosetta McInnes

To Sandy's family: I was shocked to hear of your Mom's untimely death. I chatted with her Wed night & again Thurs before she left for surgery & she was anxious to have this surgery behind her. Sandy was more then a co-worker at the Perth Police with me but she was also a dear friend over the years. Losing your Mom is a great loss but you have my sympathies & prayers that the God of all comfort will comfort your broken hearts at this difficult time in your lives.
