Dear Ted: Barbra and I were shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. You and Jo-Ann were always so much fun to work with at Performance in Smiths Falls. Even though it has been many years since I worked with you guys at Performance, I remember those times often and with fondness, like it was only yesterday. Having been through our own devastating loss in the last year, we can imagine what you are going through right now, and our hearts go out to you. I am writing this after a rather disappointing funeral service for Jo-ann. As her sister, I saw her during good times and bad, but through it all she had such a hopeful nature. I read the following this morning and felt it spoke to me concerning Jo-ann: FROM THE FATHER'S HEART My child, did you know that you are one of a kind? Every creation has its own original blueprints. No two birds are the same. No two flowers are ever exactly alike. I wanted you to know how very special you are to Me, and what unique gifts you have to offer to those around you. I did this so that you would reflect Me, and so that you would share in My glory. A GRATEFUL RESPONSE Lord, I'm amazed at Your creativity. The brilliant colors of the rainbow, the variety of creatures, the complexity of man and woman - how did You do it? One word, one voice, one command spoke the universe into being. Lord, You do good work. SIMPLE TRUTH The heavens declare His greatness, while our hearts declare His praise. Jo-ann was unique and she did praise God in the way she touched other's lives. May you live your life as if each day is your last with joy and truth. That's what Jo-ann did and I am so proud to call her my sister!
