Terry, Mike, Kathy, Christopher, & Peter; I was so very sorry and saddened to hear of your Dad's passing. He was a good man, a great Police Chief and boss and he will be missed but never forgotten. I will always remember seeing him in his uniform when he was a Constable and I was a boy; and the times that Terry, my brother Tom, and I were out "raising hell" in the evenings in the west-ward and Terry would spot the police car from blocks away! I could not have asked for a better mentor and boss when I first started out in the police force in Gan. Your Dad was promoted to Chief at the same time that I was hired in April of 1974. I will also always remember how he brought all the different Police Forces together every fall for his annual day of fishing and a big fish fry and party on the Judge's island. Those were wonderful times and is only one small example of what a nice man Francis was. I apologize for not being able to attend the visitation or funeral but I am experiencing some health problems and am advised against travelling by the doctors. Please accept my deepest condolences, prayers, and thoughts of comfort. John Dennis
