We will miss you forever. Your three Grandbabies are beautiful. Your namesake is just like you. It does not seem like four years. Your son-in-law is doing a wonderful job with the business you would be proud of him. We all miss you.

Dear Kathy and family, We wanted to express our deepest sympathy for your sudden loss. We wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Whenever we think of the wonderful people we've met in Canada, Clay and your family are some of the first people we think of. Clay's surprise visits on the river to say hello will be very much missed. He had a wonderful sense of humor and brightened every room he entered. Again, we are very sorry for your loss, The Burns family (Doug, Susan, Kristin, EJ, Doug Jr., Paige, John and Karyn)

I had the pleasure of meeting Clay on business last fall relating to a contract we had in Gananoque. We later spoke several times by phone and we rented a barge from the company. Clay was very friendly and helpful to us. He met his commitments on time and as agreed. I was impressed as were our people on site with his openess and his help and we looked forward to working with him again. I want to express my sincere and heart felt sympathy to his family. I think the world lost a good man. Americo Dean

Dear Ellie, I am so sorry that I won't be able to come tomorrow, I really wish I could but from losing grandad and having a ton of school work I cannot go. You don't know how terrible I feel for not coming and I will keep you in my prayers tomorrow. I didn't know Clay but I'll bet he was a wonderful guy if he was raised by you. I think that it was a really terrible thing that happened and I hope that you can work through it and be your normal happy self real fast. I look forward to the next time I see you probably this summer. And once again, I'm really sorry. With love, Droughan McDermott

Kathy, Nicole, Brett, and Kristen: Both Paul and Jordie will miss Clay's sense of humor. He always was giving Jordie a hard time about his lawn mower. Jordie valued all the advise Clay gave him about welding and a career in it. Paul new he could always count on Clay to help him with anything at the marina or at home. You know we all will be there for you guys and if you ever need us, we're just down the road. I'm going to miss seeing Clay going by in the truck always waving whether I was out walking or in my car. Take care of eachother. Family will get you through!
