To Wendy, Mark and Sarah. Am sending this to you well after Ed's passing, we are now residing in Lethbridge, Alberta and we were only very recently made aware that Ed passed away. I worked with Ed at Kingston Cablenet in the 1980's, we moved out West to Saskatchewan and then to Alberta in 1977, accepting a job transfer with Cablenet at that time. Ed was a dear friend and fantastic work colleague, a very good technician and so very warm and personable with the public. I can recall many good social events we attended, and as so many have recalled, he was the life of the party. We played hockey together, and he and I were the first to "launch" the annual Cablenet fishing weekend in October each year. These weekends were fun, memorable and Ed enjoyed these weekends so much. We lived in Amherstview as well, and our kids did spend time together as well. I am so sad for your loss, a young and vibrant life was taken away so suddenly. My condolences to you on your loss. Bernie and Susan Carriere

To Wendy, Mark, Sarah and the Crellian family; I saw you all at the service on Wednesday and heard about this site. I just wanted to add a note to say again how sorry we are for your loss. When I think of Eddie I immediately picture his wonderful grin, and his genuine interest in everyone he cared about. He was always ready to listen and to extend his warmth and humour, ready to enjoy life and really be there for his family. He was part of that close-knit, very special adopted extended family that lit up our childhood. Eddie and all "the gang" seemed to glow with life and laughter, and we kids knew there was always a merry time on the horizon, always a whole group of people who would be there for us. All those house parties, with the music going and people dancing and joking...all those tours in the boats...It is still hard to believe he is gone. I guess it is a reminder to make the most of your life and the relationships you value, each and every day. I hope that as time passes some of the worst of the grief lessens, and you are able to focus on the wonderful times you enjoyed together, and how lucky we all were to know him. At the end of the day, we are successful if we manage to touch the lives of those around us, and maybe improve them for the better. We are all better for knowing Eddie, and he will be greatly missed; even though his time ended while he was so young, there should still be pride in the success he made of it while he was with us. Take care and be kind to yourselves as you grieve and adjust. Reach out to those around you for there are so many caring hands ready to reach back. Sue, Marty, Alex & Jordan

To the Crellian family, I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Ed's passing. I worked with Ed at Kingston Cablenet from 1983 until 1990 and he was a joy to be around. I'll always remember "Rabbit", (the nickname we dubbed him with years ago) his contagious laugh and most of all his smile. No matter how bad a day I was having, Ed would brighten it by saying something that would make me smile. The one comment that Ed always used to say was "Second question?" which to us at Cablenet meant something very special. When I think of Ed, I hear those words and see that special smile of his. May God be with your family and help console you during your time of grief. Rest assured, he will never be forgotten by those of us who were fortunate enough to have his life touch ours. Bill

Wendy, Sarah and Marc, I am so sorry for your loss. Eddie was such a warm, funny man who brought laughter to each day. He was always so sweet to Sue and I and always had such nice things to say to us. Life brings so many unexpected things. Many times we wish we knew the future and could rewrite the past. However, look to those around you and see how much they loved Eddie and let that love fill your heart now. You are in my prayers and I know Eddie will always be smiling down on you. He was so proud of you all. Love, Pam and Frank Salvamoser

Dear Crellian family: I am very sad but very grateful to have met and worked with Ed at Kingston Cablenet. He always made me feel happy, with his radiant smile and 'the best laugh ever'. Ed will be missed 'very' much by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with him. I can picture Ed on the dance floor (with napkins on his knees) going from one corner of the room to the other, laughing all the way. I am truly sorry I can't come on Wed., but Ed and you will be on my mind all day and forever. He was a 'great' friend to me. If I was having a bad day, all I had to do was go down to his room and he'd cheer me up. Thanks Ed! Maureen Baker

To Ed's Family, I was surprised and saddened to learn of Ed's passing. I only worked with Ed for a few years, but he left a big impression on me as one of the good guys, and he had the best laugh around. Please accept my deepest condolences. I hope it will be some small comfort that though it will take a long time to get over the shock and sadness of his passing, eventually you will be left with the best part, which is the memories of a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. Dear Wendy and Family; You have my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your husband, brother, and son. I worked with Ed at Cablenet between 83 and 88 and can say that everytime I think of Ed Crellian, I remember the most natural smile I've ever encountered. He was always friendly, easy going and good natured, especially to new guys around the building. I know, as I was one of them. Eddy was always will to share himself with others, kidding around and joking, always in a gentle fashion. He was the life of party on hockey pool selection nights, and wore his passion for his Senators openly on his sleeve. I've missed Ed since my days at Cablenet and will remember him and all his loved ones in my prayers tonight. God bless you Ed.
