I have been involved in funeral service ever since I can remember. Helping my father Mr. Frank Tompkins do a lot of those little things, like washing cars, setting up chairs for funerals, and ground maintenance. Having grown up in the business, I began to get a sense of what it was like to help people. In September of 1990 I enrolled into Humber College in Toronto, Ont. In June of 1992 I had recieved my diploma and returned back to Gananoque to join the family business. I am very proud to be able to carry on the legacy started by my grandfather Mr. Arthur Tompkins in 1950. I will continue to work hard and serve the many people in and around our community for many years to come.

Rick has been active with Tompkins Funeral Home since 1989. He plays an important role in our day to day operations. HIs warmth and compassion makes families feel comfortable upon entering our establishment. Rick is married to Kim, and has two children, Richelle and Ryan.
